NBA: take away all timeouts, change from quarters to halfs, less substitutions (like soccer, e.g. 3 per game)
MLB: no opinion, it's just plain boring
NFL: same as NBA
Track: consolidate running events e.g. 5000 and 10000, eliminate race walking, hurdles higher for women, bring back the OLD false start rules in sprints
First, track isn't a major sport.
Next, shorten all seasons and trim down play-offs. Maybe also go back to more Conference style standings. No reason a poor team like Seattle should be in the play-offs, simply because their Division was weak. And yes I know they won a play-off game.

make it a 15K ?
NBA: Allow 8 teams into the playoffs (I think it's 16 now)
MLB: 81 games instead of 162.
NFL: Strategize on how to change/fix the regular season overtime "first to score" rule. Or did they already fix that?
Track: Not a major sport.
NBA - fine
MLB - Salary cap like NFL
NFL - fine
Track - Not a major sport. Hardly qualifies as a minor sport.

I like your ideas and I agree.. I shudda left Track off the list.
