In my research, I've come upon an important concept (thanks Boo).
The common terms "claw" or "grab" vs "roll and push" of the contact foot in triple jumping:
I seek ideas on drills or concepts of training with C of G contact over the contact foot, rocking chair and pushing off the ball of the foot, etc..
I have a quality jumper who was taught (Bahamas) a very eccentric contact with little or no concentric flexion. I know we need to avoid "pegging" and keep the center of mass high, avoid fwd. rotation and plantar flexion, again, etc, etc.
Anyone out there have any unique or simplistic ideas on balancing the two muscle actions - to generate energy transfer and avoid injury?
It's only boring if you aren't a jump fanatic!! ........ don'tcha" agree?
