I have to stay at home and train 3 days a week. I have access to a exercise bike and an elliptical.
I don’t know how hard to train on them. I thought I’d get a heart rate monitor and train with it. Any suggestions on a good cheap heart rate monitor?
Any tips on websites or books to educate me on what kind of range I should shoot to keep my heart rate to substitute for running workouts if I was training to do a say a 3:20-3:30 marathon?
Background: Masters runner now used. Ran 3:05 or so in November and mid 2:40's a few times about 10 years ago.
