Meb - NYC Champ 2009
After a near career ending injury many thought he was done, but he came back to take it in the big apple and showed why he is an olympic silver medalist.
Jim Ryun - 1972 1500m Olympic Trials
Many had written him off, said that he was done after the inconsistent years following the '68 Games. He ran an inspiring race to win the trials in front of the Eugene crowd.
Sebastian Coe - 1984 1500m Olympic Final
The British press said he couldn't do it. After struggling to come back into form, he proved them wrong and ran an Olympic record of 3:32 and change that lasted until the 2000 Games.
Alberto Salazar - Comrades Ultra Marathon
After his downward spiral from the best marathoner in the world into mediocrity, Salazar came back to take the win at this incredibly tough race.
