Lagat did, Solinsky did.
If the blojo's didn't give Rupp the front page...they need to go lay down in a cat little box where they belong...

how much did he break the record by?
they didn't do it when lagat broke the indoor ar 2 mile...
He said cat little box.....
Sorry, outdoor records>indoor records. It's not even close. This does indicate that Rupp is a threat for the outdoor 5 and 10.
Kip Litton box?
He was given the front page, just not a very big section of it.
I agree. The treatment of Rupp is inconsistent with the way other AR's are treated. This board is one for the good ole boys who will suck Rojo.
If Rupp gets any major outdoor record, he will get the same treated, more for the 5 than the 10. You have to remember, Ritz and Solinsky were completely unexpected, Rupp getting the indoor 5k was not, especially since he was the former record holder.
He got the cover of TFN when he set the indoor record a few years ago, did he not?
He was 22 and in college, it was a big deal at the time.
For over a year I have at least half expected that Rupp would have a break out moment similar to Ritz's 12:56 or Solinsky's 26:59. He sort of did with the 27:10 which was a good 20 seconds faster than his previous PB. But that previous PB was set back in 2007 so it was kind of expected. Same goes with his 5000M times.
But he does just keep getting a little better every year. And he is consistent.

Let's give a little more credit -- and Salazar keeps him very much mostly injury free.
Not getting the front page of the site is more proof that the blojo's suck smelly cat's ass.
He got it when he broke Salazar's indoor AR in the 5,000
Just sayin'...
