Agreed. Any updates would be thoroughly appreciated.
shouldn't you guys know people at the meet who can text you?
So far I know Hanko ftw in 14:03.
14:03?
That seems fast and would be a nice pr for him.
I suspect American top guy Eustis was right there with him.
Hanko 14:03
Eustis 14:13
Livingston 14:14
how did the race play out?
Hanko took the lead from the gun, lead it out quick, 800 in 2:12, mile in 4:26, 2mile in 8:56ish. Eustis from American and Kosgei from Lehigh stuck with him, those 3 had a sizeable gap on the rest of the field. Kosgei died hard around 3K and didnt even score. Hanko gapped Eustis with 1200 to go. Army's Livingston closed on Eustis until he passed him with 100 to go but Eustis rallied and passed him on the final straight then.
Great race. Hanko led from the gun. First mile was a 4:27, and he came through the 2 mile in 9:27. American guy hung with him until then, and then he was done. Hanko looked relaxed the whole race, and probably would have gone sub 14 if he had some help.
1. Hanko (Navy)
2. American
3. Army
4. American
5. Navy
6. Navy
7. Colgate?
8. Lehigh?
Hey thanks so much for the update. Sounded like an exciting race.
I would have thought Hanko would have gone out slower with the Mile finals tomorrow...
Still a huge pr.
Bucknell in 7:34 to win the 4x8
Also, day 1 scores: Navy 60, Bucknell 53, Army 39
Hanko wasn't through 2 miles in 9:27 it had to be more like 8:57.
And here are official results:

the mile and the 3k should be crazy.
Top seed Eustis looking for the title against kicker in Rome and Dom too I believe.
Eustis needs to take this thing out hard to shake those two.
the mile starts in 5
post splits if you can.
Go Navy!
For those interested...
Navy went 1,2,3 in the mile. That is 24 huge points.
Doesn't look like Rome ran the mile. He will be fresh for the 3k. That should be fast.
anything new?
Rome took 3k in 8:07
good time
Something of note:
Brendan Medeiros of Holy Cross ran 2:27 in the 1k and placed 3rd. The kid has improved tremendously over the past couple years. As a freshman, he was a 30 minute 8k runner and 5 minute miler. Quite the improvement
