"They have been training together since that time but it was relatively quiet until Farah completed a new shoe deal with Nike and joined Alberto Salazar’s Oregon Project group."
Is is official now?

It's in "MFing" doors, this is like winning an arena football championship, or hitting the most home runs in preseason baseball (for those of you that enjoy an baseball analogy more)... he's a far cry off of 12:54... which is a far cry from 12:37.35...
Oh I know the h8rs will say, "but theres more turns and its so hard indoors, it converts to an easy 12:50... OR even why haven't any of the other top American's gotten this record..." and I say read the name I posted this under, then we'll talk...
Plus, honestly you either run the time or you don't. I heard all yall h8rs crying about Montana Jack running up in Wyoming what "should" equal a 3:54... PPPLLLEEEZZZ you either run it or you don't... and when the pwn monester AKA German Fernandez comes a pwn'n, Montana Jack will be toast... you can put that in your pipe and smoke it now, my man...
I was thinking you were making at least a little sense, and then you brought in this GF nonsense. C'mon mate, admit that GF is never going to be a consistent top runner. He is now even getting beat by guys younger than he is. It was unfortunate that GF didn't take an approach similar to Rupp's, because had he, he might be developing into a great runner. Making a full ride scholarship a priority over competing for an excellent coach was his first mistake. At this point, GF has actually regressed over the past few years. Galen Rupp, on the other hand, has had consistently excellent support and coaching and it shows in his trajectory of improvement over the past 4-5 years. Congratulations to Galen Rupp for sticking with the program and for his fastest all time American indoor 5K. The record that he just won was taken away from a pretty good runner himself.
You know you love me,I know you care
Just shout whenever, And I'll be there
You want my love, You want my heart
And we will never ever ever be apart
Are we an item? Girl quit playing
Were just friends, What are you saying
Said theres another, Look right in my eyes
My first love broke my heart for the first time,
And I was like
Galen, Galen, Galen ohhh
Like Galen, Galen, Galen noo
Like Galen, Galen, Galen ohh
I thought youd always be mine mine
Galen, Galen, Galen ohh
Like Galen, Galen, Galen noo
Like Galen, Galen, Galen ohh
I thought youd always be mine, mine (oh oh)
For you, I would have done whatever
And I just can't believe, we ain't together
And I wanna play it cool, But I'm losin' you
I'll buy you anything, I'll buy you any ring
And im in pieces, Galen fix me
And just shake me til' you wake me from this bad dream
Im going down, down, down, dooown
And I just cant believe my first love would be around.
And I'm like
Galen, Galen, Galen ohh
Like Galen, Galen, Galen noo
Like Galen, Galen, Galen ohh
I thought youd always be mine, mine

Luda
When I was 13, I had my first love,
There was nobody that compared to my Galen,
And nobody came between us or could ever come above
She had me goin' crazy,
Oh I was starstruck,
She woke me up daily,
Don't need no Starbucks.
She made my heart pound,
And skip a beat when I see her in the street and,
At school on the playground,
But I really wanna see her on the weekend,
She know she got me gazin',
Cuz she was so amazin',
And now my heart is breakin',
But I just keep on sayin'...
Galen, Galen, Galen ohh
Like Galen, Galen, Galen noo
Like Galen, Galen, Galen ohh
I thought youd always be mine, mine
Galen, Galen, Galen ohh
Like Galen, Galen, Galen noo
Like Galen, Galen, Galen ohh
I thought youd always be mine, mine
(I'm gone)
Yeah, yeah, yeah (6x)
(Now Im all gone, now im all gone, now im all gone)
Gone, gone, gone,(gone)
I'm gone.

You are a moron. It's like nothing you mentioned actually. The only relevant part is he ran faster than he did the year before. No one is suggesting this converts to an easy 12:50, but it does suggest he might be ready to run faster than he did last year, which was pretty darn fast.
Only a pathetic loser would make a post like yours.
Rupp looks like he is 16-17. Who is trying to fool into believing he is older? In fact, Rupp looks like Peter Pan, who we all know is not a real person, so any records Peter Pan sets don't count.
MF= Mike Fanelli?
Rupp is much classier than Fanelli will ever be. An overrated, egotistical used car salesman. Mike Fanelli!
Rupp sucks
As good as this was for Galen, he probably should run the 10k this year at the world trials to make the U.S. team!
screw Justin Beiber, this is real racing!
I want to call this before it happens... Solinsky gets the indoor 5K AR in a few weeks... Rupp cries... Evan Jager cheers in the background of the video... Matt Teg gets older... Al Sal starts coaching a D3 team... they win nationals in 2020
American dual world champion Bernard Lagat will add some serious star quality to what was already shaping as a powerful men's 5000m field at the Melbourne Track Classic.
Lagat, who won gold in the 1500m and 5000m at the 2007 world championships and is also a dual Olympic medallist, confirmed his participation in the March 3 Melbourne meet on Thursday.
The field for the 5000m race - which doubles as the Australian national title and the world championships qualifying event - also includes Lagat's countrymen Chris Solinsky and Matt Tegenkamp and Australians Craig Mottram, Collis Birmingham and Ben St Lawrence.
I rather doubt they'll be doing any more indoors this season.
Agree that Chris Solinsky is poised to take back Galen's 13:11. It's simply great that we're actually talking about Americans in the hunt week-after-week for ARs. We've come such a long way![quote]real talk wrote:

Rupp is two things that you´re not: fast and heterosexual.
Regardless of whether or not most people run indoors, look at who Rupp took the record from...

And you're one of the letsrun F'tard scum who shouldn't be allowed to post here.
The board was so filled with people waiting to see what Rupp ran time wise it was slowing it down....sad thing is you know a bunch were just waiting for him to fail because that's how they get their happiness. You were one of those pathetic f'tard losers who lost a lot of your joy when he didn't fail, so you posted this instead.
Wow dude. Calm the F down. I said it was awesome and it was fantastic for him. Just because I said it might be his best finish of the year. Which isn't bad at all. You just basically said in your comment that he failed. That's pretty harsh. F'tard? You sound a like scum that shouldn't be posting on here.
I've actually heard that German has been contemplating a move over to Oregon. You're definitely right, even though he could blow the doors off of most people, he hasn't lived up to his potential. Alan Webb 2.0? I guess he's already stayed in college longer than Webb, kudos to him for that.
Just like Webb, Fernandez has to decide whether he wants to give himself the best possible chance to be a world-class runner, or just keep running really well in college. Actually even "running really well" might be a stretch, considering how many kids ran sub-4 last weekend.

He was right on. Take your troll *ss elsewhere. Anyone with half a brain can read exactly what your intention was. Please leave these boards and the sport of track and field, we don't need people like you.

-2/10. Your reverse trolling attempt deserves a negative trolling score.
Rupp got second, and ran a good, but not great, indoor time. Nothing wrong with that, except for trolls who don't grasp the concept that other than first place and a record is not good enough.
