Gratz to Rupp!!
Why are there guys running 16+ in a race with a sub 13er and 13:07 guy?
Honest question, not trying to troll
Farah 13.10.60 UK and European record
Rupp 13.11.44 American record
Did Rupp get it?? If not, those guys getting lapped are to blame.
Results are up!! Rupp gets it.

He deserved it as he did the work at the end when he needed to.
Watching the post-race interview, the thing that I was stunned about is that Farah is adidas.
I'm very surprised that Al Sal will coach an adidas guy who also might take a medal away from Galen.
why on earth were there 2 16:30 guys in the field?
awesome job for rupp. must be nice after getting dumped on by lagat last indoor and solinsky last outdoor.
some young lads going for euro 3000m time and had to finish full 5000m afterwards.

because they raced for 3k - trying to best 7.54 to qualify for the European Indoors, but they had to finish in order to get an official 3k split time

They were running the qualifying time for 3,000m European indoors. If they did not finish the race they would be DQ'd
Big congrats to Rupp today. I seriously hope that he regains his confidence/form that he had his senior year at Oregon.
Now, why is Salazar coaching a foreigner? I thought the purpose of the Oregon Project was to coach American athletes to Olympic medals?

Don't forget they are up against the EA's that's the real opposition - the more top athletes he can get in that group the better.
Good for him. It's a shame people still won't give him the respect he deserves.
Jogging their way home in outside lanes, so no interference to Farah and Rupp, right? Good work to all involved. Did the young ones get the standard they needed?
Congratulations to Mo and Galen--two hard-working runners both of whom have bright futures! I look forward to cheering you on in many, many races in the future!
I'd rather see an American (soon to be Chelanga) picked up than a Brit, no offense.

Maybe to get a training partner for Rupp who's at a similar (probably slightly higher) level? In the big picture that's probably to Rupp's benefit.
Congratulations to Rupp. Anyone know if Lagat has a fast indoor 5k planned? It might be fun to see them feeding off of each other.

The more world-class athletes in the training group the better it is for the Americans trying to compete with the world's best.
Welcome, Mo.
why does it say PB after their time?

It's a personal best.
Great race for last place though! Just 4/10 tenths...! I can hear the UK commentator now "and Wilson runs a tremendous race for last place"

Probably no official 5000i time prior to this race.
