I could really use some advice here. I'm 19, at a small college, and trying to decide which program to go into. I am interested in both programs so really the deciding factor may be which will help me get a job once I graduate. Any thoughts and experiences?
Computer engineering by far. Web development and design gets farmed out to a lot of bigger companies to handle for many small companies, so the job opportunities are more limited. Computer engineering is needed by many of the smaller companies, so they're willing to pay a lot to have them. You'll likely get paid more by more people to do more steady work as a computer engineer. Web development and design is probably more creative, though, if you can land a job with any stability.
A computer engineering grad can get hired for any job that a web development and design grad can, plus a whole lot more.

Their answers were helpful. The bump is to make sure nobody has a contrary opinion.
WDD is vocational eductation. CE is academic education. Both are useful.
The Computer Engineering degree would most likely get you a job that earns more money. It would set you up with a crazy amount of programming knowledge.
Website and Design might be more flexible. My wife does this and works from home, that is what makes me say that. It does not involve heavy programming. It does require excellent design skills (which you will NEVER get in a computer engineering program) and people skills (also somewhat lacking in engineering programs).
So, similar but different. I don't think either one is better or worse. Go with what feels best to you and fits your personality and future goals.
I got a degree in a field similar to computer engineering, but ended up doing freelance web design/development. But I don't think I could have done it vice versa.
