all those guys ran well and needed a rabbit or two to make the pace honest enough to break up that pack. all those 7:53 and under guys were capable of sub 7:50 in that race, I would guess. Webb ran 13:36 w/a hard kick on the roads in November, so he's lost form and obviously a 3:46 guy shouldn't be running 7:51 and getting outkicked by college kids, but this could have been a lot worse. It may even have been fast enough for him to settle down to normal training and not go chasing after more and more races in the next few weeks, as in the past. He has plenty of time to get better, however. And German ran a good time and got his NCAA qualifier and all you want for him is to stay healthy and the results will come, but I don't know if he's 100 percent. Are his iron levels back to where they were before the vegetarianism started?
