Again, until we have a reason to assume otherwise, we know that JH didn't make any offer. Like, any offer. Can't call that anything else but BS.

Very well put.
This event will pass Meb-less , runners will fight to get a number to run as they always have , great athletes will run great races , some will not , the elite field will always be good but never perfect and Boston will endure.
Hopefully Meb and his brother will learn something from this experience.
Ryan Hall prefers watered down fields to give him the best chance of returning the glory to USA.
Meb and his brother have moved on to bigger and better things. Maybe Boston will learn to treat professionals with respect and dignity in their business dealings or risk been called out again. Remember what they did to Catherine couple of years ago....

Then he picked the wrong year to run Boston. They have a great field.

This is AMAZING! I have never seen such so much fake support from insiders on letsrun before.
Something inside the Meb camp must really need this whole "BAA/JH are evil" story to live as long as possible.
A ridiculous assumption on your part. LetsRun readers are siding with Meb, the star runner, over John Hancock Insurance Co. - this to you is suspicious?
Hancock might be in the right, we don't know, but why would a bunch of runners and running fans support a faceless corporate entity over a very popular runner?
I'll repeat, we don't know what went on in negotiations, and even if we did, we might not be sophisticated enough to comment intelligibly. We're not all lawyers, we're runners and running fans. But it's incredibly stupid to draw the conclusion that "the Meb camp" is faking sympathetic responses.

Agreed - if Ryan Hall finishes Top 5, I will be impressed.
On a related note: no way in hell would Meb (one that has been plagued by injury) have a chance, either.

You must be new here - letsrun is a community that almost exclusively criticizes and basically sh*ts on elite runners
You, sir, need to learn to respect the marathon.
