Your post doesn't make any sense if you were actually replying to my post. Yes, I've been running with the Span Triax for a year and its been great. All of a sudden the new model feels quite different. I am not blaming the new shoes for anything; no I am not injured. Yes, I am sticking to this shoe that has worked for me, but the new model doesn't seem to work for me. Yes, I have tried on the new model and I can't tell whether a shoe is going to work for me until I run in them for at least three days.
Yes, shoes do make a difference and wearing the wrong shoe can indeed increase injury. Why would people pay so much for shoes and orthotics if they didn't make a difference. Might as well buy the $9.99 shoes at Walmart or run in your tennis shoes. You are lucky that you have good biomechanics and can run in any shoes, but sorry I am not that lucky and have the hardest time finding shoes that work.
