Women's finish:
How come you can't see what place somebody finished? These results are terrible. I am trying to track a friend and I see their splits, but I can't tell what they placed overall...
Whats with the american flags ?? Those houston cowboys feeling itchy ??
Usually we see US flags in global event , not a watered down US championship.
Hall looks done , flat , he is not the same runner.
Thanks Weldon.
Long distance callers make long distance calls, and the silence leaves me lonely. I'm all lost in the supermarket. I can no longer shop happily. I came here for the special offer, guaranteed personality.

That's the first thing I thought. He reminds me of Alberto in 1985. Muscle tone dramatically gone. Must be his diet?
You nailed it. The high level marathon stuff gives back only so many quality races in a lifetime. We shall see....
I'm a bit Clash fan but Lost in the Supermarket is a bizarre song for a finish line. Thanks for posting the footage.

Do you mean in the arms, legs, or both? I thought he looked a little big in the upper body, certainly compared to Trafeh and Smyth, but it's hard to tell with the quality of a live feed.

I second that. Thanks Weldon.
Thanks Malmo I going to load the clash into the ipod for today's workout.
This site has results for everyone and mile by mile splits.

Actually they were playing the entire London Calling album at the finish. The very next song played was Clampdown
London Calling, get it?

Ah, I did not see that.

Clash had some of the best bass riffs ever.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hiQoq-wqZxgNext time you guys post, don't express your inward desires to see Ryan's career come up short so obviously.
I'm pretty sure I was one of the only people not related to a runner at the starting line. Pathetic.
I really hope Houston can create more enthusiasm for the trials next year. The course is fantastic, the organizers are great, but if there is not crowd support it just won't be as exciting as NYC in 08.

The organizers did nothing to promote the half champs. If you weren't a runner, you wouldn't know it was happening in Houston today.
They will need to do a lot to get good crowds for the trials. Houston does not have the kind of urban population like Ny and Boston who will line the streets to watch just because they live a few blocks away. They will need to put some cash up for local advertising.
Kind of a slow race really. Geb runs sub-60 without waking up... :/
uhhh get over it bro wrote:

WTF?
Not a bad performance considering having to move/relocate, go through the x-mas holidays and ramping down his training. A better indicator would be his races 2 to 3 months from now when he is more "settled in".
From his interview, it sounds like he was on the verge of running himself into the ground and needed to hit the "reset" button. But we'll see...
Nice showing by Ryan Vail.
I think Sean Hartnett must have been DJ'ing this event?
