This guy is a pvssy. He has no character. Why do you think Denver got rid of him? If that was me out there they would have had to drag me to the locker room in shackles to keep me from playing.
He was getting his ass kicked out there and he knew it, so he caved in. I would have taken a 50% Cutler over those shit backups they had.
Enjoy watching the super bowl at home on your wheelchair Jay. *cough*

you clearly don't understand the rules of the NFL and i don't know why i continue to correct you. there's only 1 way to rule someone one -- rule them OUT. when that is done, he cannot go back in the game. someone who has been declared questionable, much to your dismay, actually can go back in the game.
Sorry, but you're a dumb-ass. There are no rules about in-game injury statuses. You can call someone questionable, probably, or out and they are still eligible to re-enter the game. You're thinking of midweek injury statuses, which are reviewed by the league for accuracy.
And by the way, Philip Rivers did not play in the 4th quarter of the game that he (partially) tore his ACL. He did return the following week though to play. Get your facts straight.

I would not take a 95% Cutler over Hanie. Watch much Bears football? Cutler was all over the place and when he has a bad one, he does not recover from it in the game. Hanie is the real deal and will be a star someday.

Oh brother if this isn't typical Meatball Bear Fan talk. Put in the back-up! Sorry. Hanie might be a nice player someday, but he isn't beating Cutler out next year.
Who are these people you are referring to?
I said nothing about sprains/tears!

The teams are all the same. The players are drafted. There is a salary cap. It's a franchise with identical rules for teams. Boring. Every player is a temporary seasonal employee who goes home to South Central and runs at All Comers meets after the season is over.

If anyone watched the Bears play this year and watched Cutler get sacked 50+ times, you know he's not a pussy. He got beat up pretty much every game and always came back for more. Yesterday certainly wasn't his finest hour, but to call him a pussy is pretty ignorant.
Exactly. He played with a subpar offensive line all year and got beating after beating and still kept bouncing up. It was only that one game where he was sacked 6 or 7 times in the 1st half where he couldn't come back, and those weren't routine sacks either. Many were full speed unobstructed shots. I don't know how anyone could watch him play this year and draw the conclusion that he isn't tough. Urlacher said it perfectly.
Cutler is one of the toughest qbs in the league period. Very few QBs could have withstood the kind of beating he took this year.
This is a great article for all the tough guys who decided he should be playing from the comfort of their couch.

Cutler says nothing to him, doesn't look at him, appears to not even want to help him. A leader would take the kid aside and start talking to him, helping the team out in any way possible. I have no idea if he should have been in the game or not, but once he was physically out of the game he appeared to be out of the game mentally as well.
Exactly... just like he was in Denver. Great arm, shitty attitude.
Ummm...shitty arm, horrible attitude.
Real wuss to go out with a sprained knee. I guess you're only allowed to quit if you get a flu shot.
Football is moronic so why is it any surprise that morons are rushing to make statements like "you'd have to carry me off the field on a stretcher", or "meds are available". Tell that to Kenny Easley or Earl Campbell.
The average life expectancy of NFL vets is somewhere around 55. One pays a high price to be a modern day gladiator.
Low IQ + High testosterone = NFL player.

Great player, good coach, but a true idiot and blowhard. I like the guy but take him for the cartoon he has become.

Whatever the case, the Redskins are desperately in need of a QB, and I'm sure Shanahan would be willing to barter for his former golden boy in Quitler.
You don't think Cutler would be an upgrade over Campbell and Mcnabb? I doubt the Bears will be willing to give him up, but if they were that would be a huge upgrade for the skins.
Or even worse, 3rd and 2. What the hell was Lovie thinking calling that time-out? Forte would have had the first down on the play if he hadn't. I know that was impossible to know, but why run a play on 3rd and 2 that could possibly get you negative yardage. That was so stupid. Play calling was terrible on that drive.
Jay didn't quit, but he is a big baby. He was knocked out of the game due to injury, but I no longer want him as our quarterback. Hanie came into the game and played with great poise and skill. Do you think Cutler would have tried to strip the ball from Raji after he threw it to him? Probably not. He would have just stood there. Do you think Cutler would have been able to tackle a Brian Urlacher at full speed to save a possible touchdown. Definitely not.

Not a Bears fan, but I'll bet I'm not exactly the only person watching the game that would like to see Hanie get a real shot.
Even if he couldn't go in, why didn't he have a headset on? Why wasn't he giving advice to his backups especially Hanie who had only played in 5 games before?
His quitting went beyond just not going back on the field.
