Do we know anyone in this race besides Kiptanui? Are Eshetu Wendimu and Chala Dechase back from last year? Is Bekana Daba making his debut here?

What's the best performance by a non-African runner at the Dubai marathon? I think Martin Fagan debuted here in 2:14 or so.

wondimu and dechase are in as the dubai marathon site wrote an article on those 2 a few days ago. bekana deba made his debut in amsterdam in 2:14, about a month ago he said in an iaaf article after a race, that he would run a january marathon most likely dubai, and he said he was very unhappy with his 2:14 and hopes for a 2:05-2:07 in january.
