I think they'll break 2:20:42 the ethiopian marathon record.

How fast did the women reach 10k? Are they on sub 2:20:00 pace?

i have no idea, all i have is the split the overall leader goes by each kilometer, i dont know if there is one runner by himself, a small or large pack, there are no pictures or names being given, i just figure something is better than nothing so i am copying the splits at each kilometer.
i share your frustration, not knowing how the women are doing. sorry.

Do we know anyone in this race besides Kiptanui? Are Eshetu Wendimu and Chala Dechase back from last year? Is Bekana Daba making his debut here?
What's the best performance by a non-African runner at the Dubai marathon? I think Martin Fagan debuted here in 2:14 or so.
OK, I found the names of the other top runners in an IAAF story. They claim there are six sub-2:07 men running, but I can only count five among the names they list - Kiptanui, Wendimu, Dechase, Evans Cheruiyot, and Gert Thys.
Pack of 12 through halfway in 1:02:46-1:02:47.
