You know if you increased the size of the track to 416 2/3 meters then you could run the 5000 in exactly 12 laps which would be uniform to the 12 hour clock originated by the ancient Sumerians.

If Paula were running on it, I don't care if the track was a 5000 meter loop (to correspond with the one rotation the earth makes around its axis every 24hrs)... I'd be there.

why not increase it to 500 meters and finish in 10 laps. you could set a world record, because everyone knows that you can do 10 laps faster than you can do 12 laps.
