Fwiw, I don't know about him running, etc or much else, but I did see for sure that Kip picked up his bag & bib at the Expo on Saturday afternoon. I'm sure that can be verified.

Just because he had his bib picked up doesn't mean Kip was the person doing it. One can designate a third party to do it at Boston. Just write their name on the bib card and sign your name below.
You're lying and you're not very bright are you? He was not even there, trust me. And, you asked if it was him, but you didn't take a picture? Total BS by another troll. In Michigan, period.

I give up. LOL
How would I take a picture? Who takes a camera or phone with them to a race?
I thought it would interesting to some people on this thread that Kip was actually there. I guess not. You guys carry on.
This is my first posting. I've resisted until now but the mega-load of nonsense that's been posted within the past couple of days nudged me over the edge. Feel free to claim that I'm Kip or Scott Hubbard or SOKLR if you think that accomplishes anything -- but you'll be mistaken.
Kip never went to Boston -- where, by the way, I happened to be in the media grandstand at the finish line. Anyone who says he engaged Kip in a conversation in Boston is simply lying. Kip was in his office yesterday in Davison, seeing patients. He's also there today.
An article about him will be published in a matter of weeks. How do I know this for certain? Because I'm the writer whose very existence you've all been debating for many months. There is a very valid reason why I haven't yet published anything. The magazine I work for is based in New York. I've been a staff writer there since 1974. Our circulation is very large. And, believe me, you've heard of it.
Unlike so many of you who seem to enjoy crude insults and pointless b.s., I have compassion for Kip. There are human reasons how he got himself into this jam. I do not think he's a bad person and I've been appalled by the crudeness that has been directed at him in this thread. I have no doubt that his deception has been very elaborate. I don't pretend to know exactly how he's gone about his, shall we say, unsporting approach to racing. Nor does anyone else who has posted here, other than unmasking the chip-gun/delayed start strategy.
I fully expect that this post will provoke skepticism and insults. I couldn't care less if that's the case. Those of you who respond in that fashion will soon look very foolish.
Please, please tell me you are Ian Frazier.
It's much easier to have compassion for someone when they are contrite and open about what they have done.
Not Ian Frazier, but you have an accurate sense of direction.

Joe Frazier?
Name the magazine then smart guy.
John McPhee?
There just aren't many other magazines that have had the same staff writers for 35+ years. That's why most of us are zeroing in on The New Yorker. Plus the fact that every time it's been named in this thread it is promptly deleted.

He might have picked up his bag & bib and flew directly back in Michigan
3/10
Just for the effort.
Thank you for the update. I'm very eager to read the article and hope that your timeline for publication is accurate.
I'm mostly interested to see if you were able to talk to Kip himself, and if he offered any insight into his motivation to fudge his race results, or to create fictional races.
While I don't presently share your compassion for Kip, maybe after reading your story I'll have a change of mind.

Then I will keep my skepticism in check for a matter of weeks.
I would disagree with your assessment that this thread has deteriorated to just crude insults. Just as you fairly called anyone who lies about Kip a liar, I would say it's just as fair to call anyone who cheats a cheater. And someone who becomes obsessed with the perfection of cheating as having a pathological side to their character. All of which are accurate, and none of which is crude.
My guess is most of these trolls attempting to dethrone the thread here are actually from Kip's camp, as were the ones who harassed the Delaware RD so much after DQ'ing Kip, that he ceased blogging because of all the aggressive, attacking responses directed at him. There is an off-course ugliness from Kip's side that is very much in line with the on-course behavior and makes it difficult to muster up feelings of compassion. Long ago, when his gig was up, he needed to fess up and promise to live right, instead of leading the attacks on his accusers from around the globe. And that I would say is is an example of continued poor judgement.
Reeves Wiedeman?
Hello troll.

Dr Kip Litton was, indeed, at his dental practice y'day. I know this because I watched him leave @ just before 6 pm. It was the first time I'd seen him in person. My 1st correspondence w/him was in Nov '09.
The rest of what appeared in this quote I've borrowed from is accurate. Kip's odd and mysterious tale will appear at a newsstand near you soon.
To those who've trolled, doubted, cast apersions & such - that's fine - as I said last week, I know you can't help yourselves. I don't feel happy about the impending publication of the story because the details leave me feeling queasy and angry. But the man brought this on himself.
Again, the gratuitous nastiness. Yes, it's The New Yorker. No, I'm not going to give you my name now -- that's irrelevant, what's relevant is the actual story -- so please give up that silly little guessing game, everyone.

Hello, Mark Singer. How goes it, old sport?
