Lodgson is at Oregon and performing reasonably well.
my question: Whatever happened to-
Eric & Mark Mastalir
Alan Scharsu
Mike Granville
Thom Hunt
Al Scharsu and Thom Hunt are in San Diego. Al still runs damn fast when he isn't battling achilles problems (e.g. age 41 32:50 10k). Thom Hunt is now the coach at his old high school, Patrick Henry, and has slowed down a bit with family and coaching responsibilities.
what about caroline bierbaum?
John Long
Jeff Taylor

You're talking about 1984-1986 in Minnesota! I remember those guys...
Donovan Bergstrom had a decent career as a steepler:

I don't know about John Long or Jeff Taylor...
Regarding John Long... it looks like he works at Marathon Sports in Mpls now. I don't know what he did post HS, though.

David Adams went to Clemson, where good distance runners go to die. He no longer runs for them.
mark mastalir works for nike running in beaverton.
Cool--yes, I do remember double cross country champ Wodny, though I didn't know he became an Olympic skier. John Long was astounding: he won the state cross country meet by something like 45 seconds. I was sure he'd become an Olympian. Thanks, DougC!

I think beirbaum goes to columbia- not sure if she runs though
Logsdon, who thrashed Ian Dobson during their senior track season at the Oregon state meet, went to Oregon and is running decent, but nowhere near the level of Dobson.
Paulson also went to Oregon and, to be completely honest, hasn't done jack squat.
Long was third in the Big 10 Cross champs in 89. Behind Bob Kennedy and Mark Croghan.
But in streetfighting he'd be Big 10 champ 4 years straight.
didn't John Long go to Wisconsin and Jeff Taylor to NC State? Although I have no idea what, if anything or how much, either did post high school, in college or post college.

John Co-owns Marathon Sports, in MPLS. He\\\'s one hell of a cool cat. He\\\'s more connected than Tony Saprano! Like the majority of Smith era Badgers he limped out of athletics sick of all the yelling etc.
What happened to (california people)...
