The premise that Webb and his teammates broke some rules here is absurd, no matter what the rulebook says. Have you checked the prices at Coogan's? Tops each meal was $15 all in. and the caps are maybe $10. So each kid got $25 value? Whoa! they should have been pulled over by the police when they crossed back into Virginia. Peter Walsh has provided free meals to many more athletes than I can count and he does this because he wants them to remember what a great time they had in NYC running at The Armory and he's someone who selflessly supports the sport which should be commended.
How many HS kids get free stuff from Nike? For all sports. That has been going on for years. Did LeBron give back his Nikes after the season? I bet not.
FL and NXN spend way more than $500 per kid on all expenses, so why are they all still eligible? Millrose, Reebok Games, NSIC, NIN, NON, Under Armour HS Football Game - all of them pay for the athletes to go. Don't tell me that kids do bake sales and car washes to pay to go to the Under Armour game.
the only way to stop this is to restrict kids from traveling outside the state for any competition.
So if you want to create a thread with any merit, then do some homework about all HS athletes who could have broken the same rules and lay it out for us. If you're going to hang one person, then you might as well hang them all.
