Absolutely no clue who you are or weendrizzle and his pr, but your opinion is that, yours. I have just read every post on this thread and find your post as being quite inappropriate. It is semi-respectful for sure, but still wrong. If the guy ran the race of his life and pretty much ran 27 flat for 10,000, how is he suddenly going to get anywhere near the current world record? Heck, Ritz, Teg, and Lagat should be right with him then, right? It is an irresponsible statement made by Mr. Solinsky and I bet he now regrets it. Forgive and move on.
He's not shown anything to show he can drop 42 plus seconds over 10,000 on the track or whatever the exact time is. His 5000 pr is not a close representation nor is his 3000. Bekele has run 12:37 almost 6 years ago and his 10,000 pr was set the following year. Solinsky is 18 seconds behing the world record for the 5000. How is he going to show he can maintain the pace for 10,000 when he is 1.5 seconds slower per lap for the current 5000 record? Do you realize how much faster that is at that pace? Seriously. Chris Solinsky is not going to drop that kind of time per lap over the 5 or 10,000 meter distance on the track?
You can call me negative or a troll or whatever, but basically I just don't agree with you and in all honesty I wish he could break 26 minutes, but it's not going to happen. His 12:55 was no walk in the park but instead an all-out effort and he ran great, but he's no KB. Sorry.
