The point is moot, since Haile does not celebrate Christmas until January 7th, as all the Ethiopian Orthodox do. I am guessing he doubled on the 25th.
5 / 11 double
Would like to have taken it easier, but am on a streak of 100+m weeks I wanted to maintain. Weather here is crap - really not helping.
16 Christmas morning. Exactly what I needed before spending 4 hours with my family.
Lagat, Spivey, Padilla, Coe, Webb and many other greats have often run no more than 60 miles per week during much of their best days. And each and every one of them could destroy and humiliate you ass-clowns at 5k. And yes, 5k is an absolutely primarily an ENDURANCE/AEROBIC event.
But keep padding your logs clowns, since clearly you will never achieve anything in a RACE worth talking about.
And geb would spank all of them at 5k... what's your point?
All the articles I have read say that Geb takes off one day a week but I could be wrong. Also you couldn't beat Halie if you ran nine times a day every day.
bump.
10 this morning on trails, 3 in a little while once I digest lunch.
first double in quite a few weeks.
Easy 60min today, haven't really slept but a couple hours over the last 2days traveling internationally from the US tto EU, but got my run in today in Barcelona. Beautiful weather out about 60 and sunny, much nicer than the blistering cold of the Midwest.
HG runs more than most LR posters can even fathom. Typically anywhere from 150-250mpw depending on the training phase. So for those of you that think you're something doing 15 miles, HG is doing that for an AM run and then coming back for another 10+ in the PM.
HG runs more than either UK Distance Coach or HG himself can even fathom. People say he ran to school and back when he was growing up in Ethiopia. It's true. But what most people don't know is that his elementary school was in f**king Brazil, b!tches.
Doubles rock!

I would be careful in Barcelona. Ferociously anti-American.
I got in 16 before breakfast this morning and then breakfast was 90 min later than it should've been. I was ready to pass out when we finally at. I was ready to pass out when we finally at.
Didn't Geb say he doubled every day except Christmas AND Sundays?
Haile seems to get injured quite a lot.
Only one run today. I was doing really good with my doubles until about 3 weeks ago, but then got lazy and started sleeping in later every morning. I will start my doubles again tomorrow. This I swear.

Coe didn't even break 14, give me a break. That is pathetic and shows horrible endurance.
I just did my longest run even: 18.25 miles. I doubled 6 times this week though.

That's exactly fvcking right - 14:25 to be exact. Not exactly a killer time.
