...and what you have failed to learn: Many Great American Distance runners, names like Ryan, Liquori, Merrick, Prefontaine, Amaya, Terry Williams, Kimball, Bobby Thomas, Serna, Hulst, Hunt, Salazar, Chapa, Virgin, Centrowitz, Nelson, (you get the point by now surely?)
Have come and gone and have yet to get a 'Gold Medal.'
Always seems to be 'some unknown' guy training, 'weird' names, like Keino, Gammoudi, Viren, Yifter, Geb, Tergat, Wanjiru, and Bekele that just so happen to come along at the right time...to win that Gold Medal.
AS they say, 'timing is everything.' Best of luck to your hero Lukas and may 'the force be with him!' He might need it...if there's such a thing!
