Wow, you really think I just repeated his theory? I staunchly advocate Ritz NOT running the marathon in 2012 and leaving it for after that, WHETHER or not he has a chance of medaling on the track, which I don't think he does. But he's a much better track runner than marathon runner to date, and even if he "pops" one, that doesn't give any indication that he wouldn't crap out, as per usual, in London. He's not getting a medal no matter what, but if he's a 26:50 guy and it's not a ridiculously slow affair, then maybe he has a chance.
Ritz, quit dicking with your form, and contact Vigil if you want to run marathons. Yes, Hansons, McMillan, and Hudson (you) all have their 2:10 guy, but Mahon, consulted by Vigil, produced a 2:06 guy, and Larsen, consulted by Vigil, produced a 2:09 guy and silver medalist, while Vigil himself coached Deena to an AR and an Olympic bronze. Frankly, your PRs are because of the base you built under Hudson anyway, with a little sharpening and recognition of your REAL talent on the track, aided by an altitude tent and other gadgets.
