Go away dude, he beat you hands down. 99% of injuries are not caused by training. You keep looking dumber every post.

Late to the party? That's what the original poster said. It will be blamed on her not having enough time to get in top condition after her pregnancy.
Sidenote for the guy who wants to bet. Please post your email address for all to see. I don't agree that she will beat KG by 4 minutes, but I gladly bet you that she will lose to Desi. Post quickly please, I want in as soon as possible. Thanks.
ME TOO!!!! I want in as well. Not saying Desiree will win, but that she will finish ahead of Kara Goucher, if she doesn't bow out at the last minute. Post your email address and I will wager more than you could imagine, "AS LONG AS THEY BOTH START THE RACE"...no damn loopholes.
You guys who believe Kara Goucher is that much better than Desi are stupid. Look at their pr's and look at Desiree's last few marathons (Chicago was quite warm, I was there). Her pr is only 28 seconds behind Kara Goucher's. Someone said it would be like the Patriots getting beat by the Panthers. What a ridiculous comparison, but hey if he's that dumb, I'll take the Panthers (Desiree Davila) every time. As others have said, there are some really uneducated people on this site. If you don't know their pr's and history, look it up on the net. Chicago's heat was worth more than 28 seconds.
Desi is going to break through big at Boston and then Kara Goucher will have to show some major respect. You'll see.
This is what I've been saying the whole time....too soon!!!!! Believe me now or are you all calling Paula, the greatest female marathoner of all-time, a liar? I think not.
But it is a different plan. Radcliffe, 37 last week, is taking it much easier after the birth of her son Raphael than she did after the birth of daughter Isla.
She was back training and running in bionic recovery time when Isla was born in 2007.
But the price she paid was heavy, with stress fractures in her back, and it has been a painful time ever since, culminating in the tears after she last ran, injured, and was fourth in the New York marathon on November 1 last year.
The above is from the opening lines of this article.
The article you linked says Paula might be running the London Marathon next spring.
Really, are you serious? I read the entire article, and your point? It also said NYC might be in the plans versus London. Did you read that?
Chicago and New York are going to be pretty boring for American fans this year with the trials just around the corner in January.

boring at the very front maybe, but there will prob be a lot of ppl trying to make a last minute attempt at 219
Desi beats Kara and the excuses (not reasons) come pouring in.
How could you say you want me to lose?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Oh sorry, I thought the topic was that Desi will "lick" Kara's butt this April.
Can't lick a butt if you are never behind her.
Agreed, I think Ryan's fine but I don't really like him all that much. Probably because he gets all the media attention when someone like Tekeste Kebede easily beat him in Boston(whos name is not even on Wikepedia). So we have someone more talented then Ryan not even on Wiki while Ryan gets more media attention than Gebrsalassie. Great.
While both are fine and accomplished runners, they promote the bejeezus out of themselves and their causes and sponsors. Few other runners, even those who are more accomplished, shill like they do.
It is true. The deals that are cut are to run 2 Boston races in a 3-5 year period.
It not a one off deal.
This type of deal is done with several of the majors.
Are you kiddin me? Desi gets almost NO press and prefers it that way. Kara obviously craves attention. They are not even close to being on the same level as far as promotion goes. I hope Desi kicks Kara's behind in April! :)
Desi may win, but at Kara can console herself with the fact that she is beautiful. Desi is OK looking for a black girl.
Kara craves attention, ain't that the truth. She's in it for herself. Wanting to win for her country, not buying it. She wasn't sad that she got 3rd for all the people cheering, she wanted the first place prize money and the fame that comes with winning Boston. Anyone who thinks that Desi gets the same press as Kara is a moron on their best day. Desi is going to slam her in the 2nd half at Boston. I am from Michigan and I can't wait. Disagree till the cows come home, but I think Goucher is not going to make top 3 in the trials.....she will blow it. 12 plus months and you'll see. Talk too much, brag too much, show off too much, and it will get you in the end. She's an attention hog who thinks everybody cares about everything she does and says, sadly for her it's not true. She was called Karrogant once on this board, and I agree.
Einstein, I was responding to a post that was about Hall and Goucher.
