Currently taking iron supplements. Ferritin low-normal but not anemic yet.Was told Iron is linked to increase heart attack/heart disease risk?
I imagine this is just a mere association of iron and heart disease because people from these studies with lots of iron perhaps have just eaten lots of red meat, other unhealthy foods, therefore it's the unhealthy fatty foods they've been eating that are increasing risk of heart disease, not the iron. Am I right?
