No more required than the long form birth certificate that can be held by Luke Scott should be required of anyone seeking the presidency.
No, experience trumps & Walker is the shit.
The state of Georgia once passed a law requiring that anyone who wanted to run for public office in Georgia had to pass a drug test (i.e. piss in a cup) before getting on the ballot. It was found unconstitutional on 4th Amendment grounds.
Why should there be any requirements? You get to cast a vote based on all of the qualifications of each of the candidates. If people think that a college degree is necessary, they will not elect a guy who doesn't have a college degree. No need to make a requirement.
On Wikipedia it says:
"He then attended Marquette University from 1986 to 1990, but dropped out during his senior year with a 2.59 GPA"
This just provides another example of how a resume means nothing in elections. Republicans keep dishing out the type of fiction that dupes the less educated majority of Americans to vote for them. Folks, if you have a 2.59 GPA in college, you probably don't have the brain power to fix an economy, run a state, plan for the future, etc..., but you probably do have just the right level of knowledge to promote baseless but popular ideas with full conviction.
Sarah Palin dropped out of 4 colleges before graduating with a degree in communications from the University of Idaho. She hasn't released her GPA, but her high school GPA was a 2.2 and I have a hunch that her college GPA was lower (since she keeps it hidden). I don't know if this is relevant to the discussion, but just thought you all would like to know...

...which is really weird, since the less education you have, the more likely you are to vote Democrat, not republican.

Gates and Zuckerberg didn't drop out because they couldn't cut it. There's a big difference.

Yeah, that he votes along the Republican line suggest something diabolical about him, eh? Just kidding. But Jindal is an enigma and I'd like to see him in an honest debate with Obama - not a debate geared towards garnering votes from their respective parties. Probably will never happen.
Jindal looks a lot older than 39!
Dave Thomas (Wendys) never graduated high school. He got his GED well after his success.
Democratic voting follows a U-shaped curve with respect to education level. The most and least educated people tend to vote democratic. The republicans are more in the middle.
So Obama & Michelle are degreed out the kazoo but they are Black Nazis wiping out millions of White Semites and White Caucasians in the Middle East for the crime of being Muslims. So what good are all those degrees ?

I'll never understand why people like you pull statements out of their a*ses and claim them as facts, when it's so easy to find the facts. I guess it's less stressful than having to confront your own preconceptions.
http://www.gallup.com/poll/112132/Election-Polls-Vote-Groups-2008.aspxArizona's doesn't either. Hence the "GED Jan" nickname. I'm sure her people will make sure one of the state universities gives her an honorary degree pretty soon.
