Are there any NYC teachers here? I would like to teacher their and could use some help.

I currently teach part time in upstate NY but have been looking into teaching in NYC for the past couple years. I'm a social studies teacher and I enjoy teaching both middle and high school and am fine teaching in any borough.

I already applied and was accepted into the new teacher finder on teachnyc.net but there are rarely job postings there.

Does anyone have any advice as to how to better locate an open position?

There are not a lot of openings but you might be able to find something through the exceptions.
