I like a lot of what's going on in Panama in terms of their City of Knowledge with its 0% corporate tax rate, which is attracting a lot of investment, the fact that it's relatively cheap and you can control your climate depending on where you live, there are many American ex-pats, and it is dynamic as a nexus of trade between both East/West and North/South. It's a no-brainer for me, as I'm aware of some structured investment trust options down there, but for my kids. I do not like what I see for their future here though.
My question is this... does anyone have any experience with raising kids there? I do know they have some excellent international schools and my oldest (6 1/2) is becoming fluent in Spanish.
