That is truly awesome.
I doubt it means anything, but I think it's hilarious that they got snowed out in DC during the conference last year, too.
Stupid Obama
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YOU STILL DON'T GET IT. GLOBAL WARMING = EXTREME HIGHS AND EXTREME LOWS, WITH THE HIGHS BEING SLIGHTLY MORE INTENSE. NOW F.UCK OFF
Ah! A record low on one day of the year! Clearly, the mounds of science and records going back thousands of years have been invalidated! Rejoice, the climate scam is revealed!
Oh the irony.
Didn't it snow last year?

What does Obama have to do with the weather white boi?
Uhh did you happen to read the leaked climategate email messages a la wikikleaks for climate? that data has been rendered useless. Do you hear Al Gore much these days? Once the carbon credit exchange went bust, he doesn't give a rat's behind about "climate change" - that is the "inconvenient truth".Torture numbers and they will confess to anything.

Although the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) collapsed and shut down this week, Al Gore's Generation Investment Management LLP pocketed approximately $17.8 million on it's 2.98% share of the exchange when it was sold to the publicly traded Intercontinental Exchange a mere 6 months ago.
why is it that when we have a bit of cold, it's interpreted as evidence against global warming, but when we have record after record of high temps and ice fields and glaciers disappearing, that means nothing.
people believe what they want to believe.

Yeah, because we know the science is worthless. Why would we put faith in liars and cheats instead of our own brains. You know scientists aren't the only ones who can think.

It's pretty hard to take accurate temperatures with thousands of incorrectly sited measurement stations - and that's just in the US. How can any scientist have confidence in the data?
Extreme temperatures- highs AND LOWS- are in line with global warming theories. When the world's oceans warm up, the ocean's global currents change paths. This is because global currents rely on water reaching a certain place, cooling, and then sinking (because cold water is denser) and then going along its way in the cycle of global currents. Cold temps in Cancun are a perfect sign of global warming.

They "correct" the data. Of course I have as much confidence in their corrections as I do in Ventonlin^3's corrections.

I'm not following your reasoning. You question how one can have confidence in the data and link to the workproduct of an effort to determine the confidence interval for a bunch of measurement sites.
This is how the scientific method is supposed to work. Somebody proposes a theory that explains the observations and then you do your damnedest to find the flaws in that theory.

And people wonder why people don't have confidence in global warming?
If high temperatures and low temperatures are both signs of global warming then what sorts of temperatures could possibly disprove global warming?

A lower (or constant) average global temperature trend is the obvious answer.
