on base percentage is simply how often you get on base each time you go to the plate (hits, walks, hit by pitch, (not quite sure how they handle sacrifice bunts))
slugging is calculated similar to batting average except a HR counts as 4.0, triple as 3.0, double is 2.0. so if you got up 10 times and had 10 home runs, you'd have a 4.000 slugging percentage. if you got 5 Home runs and 5 outs, youd have a 2.000. if you had 5 singles and 5 triples, youd have a 2.000 (1*5+3*5)/10=2.000
