I liked the idea of the old school SAT vs HS 5k time as a great goal. I also like how it captured one of the sweet things of letsrun, the fabrication of results.
I pose a new one that gives you a life time to achieve.
How many of you have had a gross income in one year of greater value then your marathon best for that same year.
So if I made $230,000 this year I would need to run a sub 230 marathon.
I don't think it is as special as the SAT-5k mainly because it rewards the Al Rockers of the world (do you think he makes more then 710k a year?). But it does give you a lifetime to try and make it.
Let's hear from all you you rich slow white guys, how many of you bring home the big bucks.
