Watch how fast the politicians back pedal when the level of support hits home.

Who would of thUnk it ? A bank of computer geeks are transforming civilization in a radical and truly fundamental manner that will benefit generations today and to follow. Assange's wikileaks coupled with releases from the US Govt and Banks will dramatically change the balance of truth vs tyranny. The US Gov't will never again from this day forward be able to conduct facist operations in total secrecy. This phenomenon will spread to place in check the facist motives of nations, corporations, NGOs, and groups throughout the globe.

sure.
or maybe people in the most powerful positions will be less effective because they need to keep everything even more private. and maybe international diplomacy will suffer as a result, leading to more war and suffering.
complete, contemporaneous transparency is a silly utopian notion. forcing it on unwilling people is downright dangerous.
it also seems likely that this assange character is just a wee bit of an egomaniac, and possibly guilty of sexual assault. though his personal shortcomings, whether they exist or not, are separate from the merits of wikileaks' activities.
ps i'll believe the stated motives of wikileaks much more once they begin to leak documents that are directly damaging to the regimes of countries like iran, myanmar/burma, north korea, etc.
Ending the tyrannical policies of Nazi-Zionsim, Apartheid, Racism and Facism is the the goal of Assanage which has struck the cord of criminals like Obama. Every day more cables reveal the crimes of this wretched beast named Barack Obama. I can't wait for the banking information to be released. That will uncover the dealings of how the Bank of Japan and Bank of China have blackmailed the economies of the world. In short, the more information we receive, the better is is form civilization.
I have an idea of stopping racism, howabout you stop calling the First Black President a beast.
It's too late for Obama. That monkey is an International War Criminal. Obama will burn in hell for eternity with Truman, LBJ, Hitler, Mao, Westmoreland, Netanyahu, Stalin, Hirohito, Olmert, Nixon, Tojo, W. Bush, McCain, that is a slam-dunk.
Wow--this is amazing. Think about it-- these companies weren't doing anything illegal, but merely they responded to government requests that they stop getting funds to Wikileaks.
As a consequence, their websites go down and they lose how many millions of dollars? Can they go back to the government and ask the government to cover their losses?
Also-- is there a movement to boycott Amazon afoot?
The ACLU plans to file lawsuits against paypal, Visa, and Mastercard on behalf of Wikileaks, Freedom, Human Rights, and Democracy.
True justice isn't just about defending the laws on the book. If that were the case, laws as they existed at the beginning of time would never have changed. Sometimes moral outrage and public sentiment can be a more valid grounds for justice that the law. In fact, what is the law but the public will crystalized into a formalized code? In this case, the law may be outdated. Of, the law could possibly be defending the institutions unfairly. Are not laws designed in such a way as to favor government and its agents first, then, the citizens of the country?

If "his personal shortcomings...are separate from the merits of wikileaks' activities" then why did you even bring them up?
