    Apparently the way this works is the 'athlete' collects $3600 in donations and gets a free airfare and hotel to Jerusalem to run the Jerusalem Marathon. How can this be 100% tax deductible if they get a free trip?

    i can think of better ways to be charitable than paying for someone's vacation, besides all us poor runners have no cash to donate anyway
