My first reation when I saw his name and picture was that he had the right name and appearance to be a James Bond villain.
Yeah, we can't all be movie stars. Heck, many of the James Bonds in the world are not the most attractive people in the world, but, they aren't being paid for their ability to win beauty contests are they?

Wikileaks and Assange are not the real issue. The real issue is, why the hell is Bush and Obama dealing out our tax monies to facist muthas in Israel, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Egypt, China, Somalia, ... We should have NO dealings with those military dictatiorships, period.

The reason is because the State Run media want to make you think of him in that way. They hate him. So they paint him in a bad light. Propaganda.
I hope the net effect of Manning's and Assange's herosim will be fundamental changes to US Government foreign policy and transparency. The most important of which will be new legislation forbidding the US Government, corporations, inhabitants, CIA, State Department, Pentagon, etc. from providing economic aid, military aid, or intelligence, to any nation or group which refuses to sign the US Bill of Rights and International Human Rights Laws, and to enforce and live by them for EVERY inhabitant within its borders.
