I'd say most likely tri's. He was 4th at world juniors, and everyone ahead of him was older. He has a very good chance of being world junior champ next year (2011) (and I think may even have two years of jr eligibility, because he doesn't turn 20 until early jan of 2013).
Does he have a chance of being world junior champ in the 5k this year or next?? Absolutely not.
So what does that tell you about his chance for future glory in running vs tri's ? And with tri's, he can always ALSO run. But I doubt he will give up tri's.
