It's a long shot, but...
We need to get hold of a scale model of a stadium with a football or soccer field on the infield for a presentation. Anyone got one lying around?? or know where I might get one?
TIA
Giles

You might try to contact a facility (university/pro) near you that recently had it's stadium updated (or plans to do so in the near future). Or find an architecture firm in your area that does that type of work and see if they have one collecting dust.
The LA84 Olympics museum (formed with money made from the 1st profitable Olympics, & launch of the world's 1st live global sports extravaganza) might have it in it's non-displayed archives along with the USATF archives that used to be at Butler U.
Thanks for the suggestions. We'll check into those.
I was hoping that someone on here might go: "Aha, here's a chance to get that sucka out of the garage..."
Still looking...
TIA
Giles.
Contact HOK, which for a while at least was the leading architect of sports stadiums (especially retro baseball stadiums) in America .
Ummmmmm $100k - $300k ???

Wow. There goes that budget line item. Suddenly, I guess I'm looking for a broken one, or one made out of cardboard! (I only need it for the month of January.)
Check the garage.
Thx.

What kind of presentation are you doing that requires such a scale model of a stadium?
Feel free to email me with questions or suggestions.
Giles.

I worked for HOK. Those models are originally sold for $10-20,000 to clients. You might want to ask one of our clients, but they will prolly not want to give it to you on the account they originally payed $10-20,000 for them.
You could probably contact an architecture student and replicate one for a couple thousand dollars. Or if you are just looking for a photo or movie opps ... HOK, HNTB, Ellerbe Beckett are good firms to contact.

300k?1? Good lord, what a waste of money. For $500k, you could've bought the Pontiac Silverdome a few years back. Not a model...the real thing.
