NZ's Nick Willis will race a 1500m and Nikki Hamblin will race in a women's Mile in New Zealand in late February. Plenty of Aussies usually race this meet - any US runners coming down under this year?

Is Hamblin going for the NZ women's mile record - is the target 4:30 (outdoor record) or would she be aiming to beat Kim Smith's 4:24.14 indoor time too - what about the Oceania area record of 4:22.66 - perhaps a bit outside her reach at the moment?
Not sure if mile conversions are allowed for world champs qualifying times, so presumably she's hoping to qualify at another meet.
Men's 1500 would be a good opportunity for guys to qualify, then can just focus on training and racing before Daegu.
Record would be 4.30.50 that she would be chasing I would think. I don't think Mile conversions are allowed for World champs though they are for World Uni champs...
Agreed - should be a good 1500 with Willis and a few others chasing A and B qualifiers
