To see this news reporter actually think this guy was winning CIM was funny and sad at the same time. Must see:

hahaha. He's a beast.
good work out lol
Hilarious.
BTW it's at 2:50 if you don't want to sit thru the 1st half.
Fantastic!
"I was wondering why that guy wasn't that sweaty!"
With Chariots of Fire confusing his senses, the poor guy twisted his ankle in the last 10 meters.
That's some funny shizzzz
Best marathon coverage ever
I think that reporter was drunk during the coverage.
Frickin' hilarious!

The build up was half the fun though! Great post.
Great find! Local TV coverage of races is typically hilarious...to us runners at least. I wonder who you have to piss off down at the TV station to draw this straw. I always ham it up real good for them when I get the chance. Once I won a local 5K Race for the Cure and the reporter was immediately there with the camera and microphone asking me how I felt about cancer. I gave her a whole bit about how I was so glad that my performance out there on the course was able to inspire cancer researchers to find a cure and so forth.
That was just painful to watch. I was wincing while she interviewed that guy. Oh man! Funny and embarrassing is right.
Kudos to the dude for being so nonchalant about everything when he is getting interviewed. It is pretty funny. Anyone else find the reporter kinda hot?
As a northerner, I also got a kick out of the stocking caps and layers at 50F (plus or minus a few degrees at the finish line).
(Yes, I know the caps were advertising and were worn for the cameras, but nonetheless it was still well above freezing and caps seemed to be overkill.)
