a couple weeks ago i rolled/sprained my ankle kinda bad. i took a couple days off after icing, pressure, and ibuprofen and all the swelling went down and i was able to return to running fine. ive been running fine no pain but still when i try to invert my ankle all the way when standing or sitting, like roll foot on the outside so that my pinky toe is on the ground, foot perpendicular to ground...i still experience a sharp pain right around where the swelling was. it feels like a strained ligament or something that hurts when stretched that way, this pain only occurs when i forcefully do this motion, i never feel it during everyday activity or running, just when applying pressure in this way. any idea on what this might be and why it hasnt subsided yet?
