You should try usenet. Its what I use to do direct downloads for everything. I refuse to pay the cable company to watch ads.

. Its relatively cheap and you can get basically any type of media you can think of. One you're membership is active go to members.easynews.com/global When I first started I had a hard time finding that link. Its so stupid easy to search and organize results.

Try project free tv, just search for it on google. They will have a show on there the morning after it airs. The Zshare links are usually the fastest, by the way.
I just watch the latest movies for free.
I just ditched the cable... saves me over $100 a month.
hulu.com for most everything now, or live shows on channelsurfing(.)net - all the sports i want on there plus live ESPN in the mornings.
i still have my cable plugged into my TV and get a couple of channels, ABC, CBS, and FOX. although i live in an apartment i am not sure if or how it would work in a home.
