I was thinking about this the other day and with this anonymity on letsrun there is no chance for embarrassment! Lay out your philosophy on me, what is true love? What strengthens ones case that you are truly and utterly in love?

love is a certain inborn suffering derived from the sight of and excessive meditation upon the opposite sex. the true lover is always fearful- of being rejected , betrayed.

True Love and being in love are unrelated and is extremely unfortunate that they share the same English word. True Love is a selfless choice which puts the benefit of the beloved above oneself. Being 'in love' is a bio-chemically induced obsession similar to a cocaine addiction.
(Don't get me wrong, I think being 'in love' can be a very good thing, and I've been in love before, but it shouldn't be compared to actual divine Love, and they sure as hell shouldn't share the same word. They only way they are related is that the obsession can occasionally indirectly lead to the choice.)
First of all the words "constitute" and "true love" cannot co-exist in the same sentence.

When you're willing to be with someone romantically without sex.
