I wanted to start a new thread on this, because I have seen a lot of stuff on other threads, but thought it should be condensed.
I don't mind courses being muddy like yesterday, but what I really don't like about the NXN course is that it is "fake hard". They haybales and whoopdy whoops (that series of 4 hills) are all man made. Why don't they either have it be a normal course at Portland Medows, or run it at a real CC course (I'm from IL, so the Footlocker course comes to mind) that just naturally has hills and things. I just felt like it was contrived.
Overall it looked like a good event, just a poor choice of venue.
