I will get us rolling this week.
Wow, am I the only one or is it hard to believe that 2010 is almost over? It seems as if the older I get the faster the years go by. I need to remember to cherish every day.
I hope everyone has had a fantastic week of training and racing. The question for discussion is how do you maintain your motivation? Do you have any tips, tricks or techniques to get you out the door pursuing your running and fitness goals?
As for me, I have become a podcast addict. I get a lot of motivation from Marathon Talk, and the Runners Round Table podcasts. Also, I recently came across a website devoted to interviews of women masters athletes who are trying to qualify for the Olympic Marathon Trials. Here is the link:
. They are all inspiring.
My training week went well. I took a couple of easy days to clear up some nagging little aches and pains. That proved to be good move. Although I have to say that while the little niggles cleared up my legs were feeling heavy and sluggish the first day back on my regular schedule. I was surprised by this. I was expecting to be zipping along after a couple of easy days. Have any of you had similar experiences? What does this imply for pre-race tapering strategies?
Here was my week:
