On my right foot my arch is lower than my left which causes excessive pronation and leads to tightness through my knee, right hip and tenderness in my post tib tendon on the inside of my ankle.
All I want is for my right leg to be like my left leg which is dead neutral and have never any problems with. Is there any way to correct this pronation problem in my right leg? I’ve tried orthotics but that just led to more tightness in my right knee. I’ve been running in some lightweight stability shoes which seems to help a little but not much.
I’ve done one session with a rolfer who said she might be able to correct my problems but after one session I haven’t felt any difference.
I do the hip strengthening and core exercises and will but it doesn’t seem to help much. The tightness is mostly at its worse after running. I also wear out the outside of my right shoe faster than I do my left.
Is there something else I should be trying or any other kind of exercises or treatement I should be looking into?
