Just a quick update.
This morning I got up and did 2 easy miles running to and around the local track.

I'll probably hike on the treadmill tonight and get in 30 easy minutes of running tomorrow morning.
That sounds sensible. Keep it very easy and find soft surfaces if you can! You might want to consider stretching thoroughly and doing 3-4 gentle strides during the run; in my experience a small dose of speed often seems to take the kinks out.
I'm acutely aware of surfaces right now, having spent most of the last 10 days running on concrete and asphalt; my shins and calves got quite sore. Back home I can do 75% grass and dirt which makes a massive difference. This morning I ran to a nice park with a really good grass lawn, almost like a golf green, and did a few drills and some fast barefoot strides before my tempo, and amazingly the shin and calf soreness just vanished.
More importantly if you can't do a few 50-100m strides at 5k-10k pace without a reaction, you probably shouldn't be racing a half the next day...
I'm about to fly back and Friday will be crazy at work. If I don't get online again, good luck for your race on Saturday...
PhysMech, hope you made it back safely, and good luck for Boston!
