I'll just say from the rumors around that she's probably not lacing up for a year at the minimum and she's in month #9 of that. I'm hoping she can at least have a light outdoor season, more to slowly build her up for 2011 XC.
Oh, we're sorry that your world is full of high volume, high intensity, quality distance runners who never get hurt from the excess of abuse they put on their fragile little bodies. Here, in reality, things aren't so cut and dry that one can simply choose to be injured or not. These girls are class act ladies who work hard to achieve all that they have and more, and the fact that some jackass thinks it's funny to take a shot at their misfortune makes me sick.
Actually, I'm just kidding. I do like Allie a lot--wish her the best and hope she recovers--but your post was spot on, and all the funnier because of it. Well played, my friend.
maybe, but she ran with more heart than most runners I have ever watched/seen! I have missed her competitive spirit since her absense, she is truthly exciting to watch and someone I enjoy cheering for! I pray for her recovery.
I agree with the comment about her having a big heart. Just wish her body could keep up with her heart. It would be neat to see what she's capable of.
Also curious about Ashley Brasovan. I wanted to avoid speculating about frail body types, but are they just not durable enough to deal with the training?
She's cooked. Everyone knows it, including herself I bet. She has never struck me as having any sort of longevity as a competitive runner.
11 years later, she's pro with On, and at the top of her career. World Mountain Running uphill champion last November, almost 5 minutes ahead of NCAA star Lauren Gregory in 12th, Team uphill champion, World Mountain running up and downhill 3rd last November, and won 2 of the 5 stages at the Golden Trail Series finale.

Never heard of her. She probably should have found a real job instead of making as little as whatever she’s making with zero career prospects pretty soon
As a woman you don't need job prospects. Men or the government will take care of you. That analysis is for women in general, not for Allie because I don't know much about her but it appears she's still a good runner after being a high school star.
