I focused on the sprints while I was young, but I'm 7 now and am starting my marathon training tomorrow.
I was never any good at running until they moved our school start time up and hour, now I have to tempo run it to get there on time. It's hard to covering 20k in under and hour while carrying books.

When he had a 13:18 PR until this last season, he still had no trouble gaining entry into the biggest European meets. Plenty of Africans had better cases for a spot in the race besides marketablility.
