Wow. 2:23 is out there, on that course. I'm going with moody with a 2:28 and I don't think any hanson but davila will break 2:30. Davila will crush Moody. Davila and Boulet are in a different zip code. I bet de Reuck beats most of the rest. She's always a solid low 2:30s.

Moody will finish behind at least 3 Hanson women and maybe 4. Moody is not in the same time zone as Davila and she lost to White last year. Dot McMahan and Molly Pritz will give her all she can handle. Davila will lose to Magdalena. Magdalena will run 2:23:45.
Brooke Wells. You heard it here first.
If Davila is 2:25 +/-, what will the other Hanson women run? How low 2:30s to you think de Reuck will be?
What network is covering the race?
Wasn't Arciniaga with brooks? Is he still?
In any case, he'll be top American, and Davila will of course be top female american.
This marathon is not Juan Carlos Romero (Mex) debut... He already ran a marathon in Mexico (LALA Torreon) in 2:18 a couple years back...
de reuck will probably be 2:33 or so? The other hanson girls will be 2:31-5 depending on whether they have a great pr day or not. I'm surprised their supporters expect them to pr by 5 or 8 minutes. Even if they follow davila's progress path, she did it in 2 minute chunks over years.
1. Nick Arcinaiga
2. Mike Sayenko
3. Fasil Bizuneh
4. James Carney
5. Jason Hartmann
predicting 15 to go under 2:19
a microcosm of the state of American marathoning. its sad that the top Americans in an American marathon major are borderline amateur
James Carney 2:10
Mike Sayenko 2:10
Nick Arciniaga 2:12
Magdelena Lewy-Boulet 2:27
Desiree Davila 2:29
Melissa White 2:30
Tim Young sub 2:16
Under the radar - Andrea Pomaranski is very, very fit. If she has her day, she'll be in the mix, as well as beating all of the Hansons ladies.

Tripp Southerland will take Chris down easy! Owen and Tripp will rep J-Ville with a solid 1-2 American finish!
Pomaranski has gotten rail-thin looking. It will be surprising if her body holds up until the trials.
Desi for the win.

Crazy Jason,
You should know that Nick A has left Hansons so it is just a matter of time before his huge aerobic base disappears in favor of speed. My prediction for Nick is 2:10:56 and he will never run faster again in his career.
Hartmann will have a huge race and be the top American in 2:10:02. Rizzo is due for a monstor race as well and will nail Nick A over the last mile.
So Nick loses his "huge aerobic base" by leaving Hansons, but when Rizzo leaves Hansons, he's "due for a monstor [sic] race?"
Last I checked, McMillan (who coaches Nick) believes in aerobic strength and has done pretty well coaching marathoners as of late (including Nick's PR in San Diego, run off a hot pace).
If anything, it is Hartmann and Rizzo who are the iffy ones, as Jonesy's group just broke up a few months ago.
Further, I don't know why you think Rizzo is due... he has yet to run under 1:05 in a half. It's hard to go 2:12 when you can't break 1:05.
Fasil is due for a breakthrough marathon. He has struggled in the past and I think he will come through this year, right around 2:10... hartmann and carney will be in the mix... hartmann coming from behind. Those will be the top 3 americans i think.

Not a chance, besides, Tripp still owes Tim Unger and the boys at GWTC for his glory and will rep as a "Tally guy." In the end, Calkins has learned much from almost getting beat by a team member in Boston who is a masters runner. JustinB is doped to the gills and will have his man ready to go Sunday.

Desi for the first american you mean. Miketenko is in the race plus that ethiopian girl. Both will break 2:20 with the weather being perfect.
