so who won?
so who won?
Runnerspace will post it next year. But, it's been 2 hours, so I don't think anyone is at the finish yet.
Looks like Sergio Reyes is going to take it with a 1:40ish pr!
ross (Today, 03:04 PM)
Jeffrey Eggleston, Sergio Reyes and Fernando Cabada are all in the hunt with mile to go.
ross (Today, 03:03 PM)
apparently belainesh gebre who was scheduled to debut here today has scratched.

Update: it looks like the battery and backup battery are both dead (drained extra fast in the cold), so we are cruising to the finish line to try and get that live. We also have the other camera capturing the highlight video, so you should get to see more of the last few miles then. Sorry for the tech difficulty...

ross (Today, 01:55 PM)
Fernando Cabada is pretty far back, but he said he wasn't going to make a move until after 25k anyway.
ross (Today, 01:46 PM)
Sub 2:13 pace for the top 2... Seth Pilkington and David Jankowski... Luke dropped back.
ross (Today, 01:44 PM)
As you can see, we are riding the motorcycle on the highway over to catch the men's marathon live at mile 10 through the finish. We will also have a men's marathon highlight video on-demand after the race that will show everything before mile 10. Always fun to cover two completely different races live within a 3 hour period

excuse # 38 or # 4 take your pick
38-The battery ran out because of the cold
4- the dog ate it.
uh, results? anyone?
is this the worst race coverage anyone has ever seen? I mean I feel like they got better "live coverage" when bannister broke 4!
tehe tehe thats funny....but really this feed has been awful where are the results?!
Maybe it's just because I didn't have to endure the terrible coverage for as long at the 5k champs, but I actually think this was worse. I didn't think that was possible.
Okay... I change my mind. It was bad and there is no good excuse.
worst race coverage ever. what a sham.
What about the back-up back-up battery? It's a 10 miler and then a Marathon you nitwits.
To contrast, NYRR brought in Toni and Larry for the 5th Ave. Mile and showed everything from the age-groups to the professionals. Flawless.
runnerspace did drop the ball agian but the twincities website is up to date.

Hey, that was my favorite part.
I'm sorry, did you think I was being sarcastic?
I can't find times for the women's race other than this:
1. Katie McGregor in around 54:20
2. Renee Metivier Baillie
3. Alissa McKaig
4. Meghan Armstrong
5. Sally Meyerhoff
6. Erin Nehus
7. Katherine Newberry
8. Stephanie Herbst-Lucke
9. Jennifer Rhines
Congrats to ZAP for a great showing today in both races!

Impressive time for a 45 year old.
Wait I'm sorry did Michael Wardian qualify? He ran 2:21 which isn't the 2:19 standard but he ran under 2:22 which one can get into the trials if they run that time and have placed in the top 10 of a USATF marathon championships in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011; so did he place top 10 in the past? Is he going to the olympic trials?
